This week I begin to gather references in order to respond to my research question, How can Norwegian vintage furniture design influence the creation of a modern typeface? I also attempt to adopt Victor Papanek’s design principles, as I begin to reflect on what a democratic and circular typeface might look like. Further, I begin to develop a visual direction for a modular typeface.

For the first week of this module I look into the act of writing a brief, with a focus on self-initiated projects. I also reflect on my previous work, in order to reflect on my interests and forgotten about ideas.
